The project is a considered north oriented extension to charming weatherboard home in Preston, for an extension of the Ha_Arc family. Capitalising on a beautiful north-facing existing rear yard, Three Peaks House emphasises connection to the garden as well as functionality for an evolving family of four. The language of the two existing gable roof forms was repeated with the third in the rear living / kitchen extension. We rarely take on projects of this scale, but as a practice we get great satisfaction rethinking a home with a few simple interventions.
