The Mona Castle Courtyard 🪴🌻🍀
Laminated timber trusses support a retractable roof that covers the courtyard and bar at @themonacastlehotel
The trusses were prefabricated and the roof structure was erected on site in one day by @progressio_group
The timber structure emerges from within the walls of the courtyard and visible to passers by. A garden and bar sit below ready for good times in the sun.

Introducing the new @themonacastle courtyard
🌴🌻🌺🌿🌳
The courtyard has recently been completed and is open for business. It was part of the original design in 2021. As the hotel has settled into operations, the brief for the garden has evolved. The outcome is a special destination, and an extension to the best pub in the west!
The timber lantern pops up beyond the walls of the garden is a humble gesture to the residential streetscape of Austin Street. Beyond is a happening little garden with bar and outdoor dining.

Work in progress update on our project in Seacliff, SA, built by the wonderful team at @littlebuildcoadl
The aerial photo gives you a hint of the house plan. It shows the insertion of two courtyards into the length of the house. The courtyards allow northerly aspect into the main bedroom and study, while establishing a lovely relationship to garden from these primary rooms.
